about

This is a song about running out of toilet paper. Written and recorded on the toilet with a ukelele at a point when the realisation occured. The backing vocals and choir in the last chorus are not present in the cubicle.

lyrics

I sit here in anguish all sad and distraught,
As I tear off the last leaf of dateroll you brought,
And a brown butterfly flies my mind to a thought,
This was on curiosity show.

Then shadows cloud my thoughts as I,
Lament and ponder reasons why,
Your destiny I won't defy
I always let you go.

[Chorus]
I always let you go,
And I'm down to my last leaf of dateroll you know,
And I don't know why its always my
Turn to go
When I run out of dateroll you know

Unrelenting dementing lamenting,
Inventing excuses in this place I'm renting
Emotional denting, still venting, repenting
Because I let you go

[Chorus]
....

So now you're at the top of the map,
That I'll tear from the back of this door to wrap,
One final little chunk of crap,
Just ran out of dateroll you know

[Chorus x2]
